About Dr. Seecoomar
Leslie Seecoomar, MD, is a gastroenterologist in solo private practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. He cherishes the opportunity to help New York City residents and their families and friends improve their digestive health while they work to manage their overall wellness.
Dr. Seecoomar earned his MD in 1992 from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, which is reputed to be one of the world’s leading centers in digestive health.
Dr. Seecoomar completed a three-year fellowship in gastroenterology and liver disease at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt and Mount Sinai Medical Centers, NYC. He is skilled in advanced endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures. He emphasizes methodologies for preserving health and preventing diseases. His goal is to get to know each and every patient well by spending time listening to them in an effort to determine the potential source of symptoms. Dr. Seecoomar also takes great pride in his role as an educator.
